A Web Site is an interactive communication center made up of one or
more Web Pages and located on the World Wide Web.
A Web Page is an interactive HTML document capable of presenting
any combination of textual, graphical, video, or audio information. A Web Page is interactive by
allowing information to flow between the Internet user ("browser") and the business operating a Web
Site.
The World Wide Web (WWW) is the part of the Internet composed of
Web Pages and navigated by users through the use of hypertext links and search indexes.
What makes a good Web Site?
Valuable Content
- A good Web Site is useful. Whatever field of work your business is in, providing information that is
of value to your clients and potential clients is IMPERATIVE to the success of your Web Site.
Providing useful information will:
1) Add value to the service you offer clients.
2) Display your expertise and build confidence in your service.
3) Encourage prospective clients to return to your Web Site, contact you directly, recommend your
service to others, or any of the above.
Clarity - A Web Site is useless if it is unfocused in its message, muddled
with distractions, or illegible. Successful Web Sites are clear, concise, and easy to understand.
Continuous Improvement - A Web Site must be kept current in its content
and technological sophistication.
Implementing the Web Site into your business operations
The successful implementation of a Web Site into your business operations require that we understand
the nature of your business and the objectives you are seeking.
The implementation will be performed in 3 stages; this usually takes 4-6 weeks.
At the completion of the third stage, your business will have a Web Site that enhances productivity,
reduces costs, and increases overall performance.
Phase I: Back2Earth will study your business - its goals and operations. You will
provide us with information through an introductory interview and company literature.
Phase II: Back2Earth will build your Web Site. After the Web Site is built and
placed on the Internet, we will contact you, describe the features of the Web Site, and offer advise on
how it should be used for your business. The monthly service will officially begin at the end of Phase
II.
Phase III: After the initial month, Back2Earth will contact you and discuss the
strengths and weaknesses of your Web Site. As a service to you as a client, we will provide you with
one complimentary hour of upkeep to refine the Site according to your needs and specifications.
